Building 210 experienced a large water leak that damaged the second and first floors of the southeastern wing. The previous contractor performed a preliminary mold assessment and determined that the mold was too extensive and would not commit to full remediation. EEC, Incorporated was brought into the project quickly and mobilized to the site the day the contract was awarded. EEC, Incorporated re-assessed the areas and completed the mold remediation ahead of schedule. Final air testing results confirmed the mold was completely remediated from these areas.
EEC, Incorporated proceeded with the re-construction on both floors of Building 210. Specifications for the reconstruction had been repeatedly revised requiring EEC, Incorporated to be flexible and continue working with NAVFAC and NRL to produce a usable space that was up to everyone’s expectations.
