TheJames Senate Building is the home of the State of Maryland Senators. EEC was chosen to perform as the Construction Manager for selected demolition of various building components within this large building. Using personel to remove terracotta walls, fire escapes, and brick walls required noise control and historical sensitivity. The removal of mechanical, electrical and plumbing along with saw cutting of concrete slabs was a delicate process.

EEC was first assured by the client that an extremely large hole in the front yard of the building would be repaired before the start of construction. The plan changed with the client asking EEC to start construction a month ahead of schedule without the hole being repaired. Responding to our client’s needs, EEC started the project one month ahead of the start date and covered the hole using metal sheeting to meet all safety standards. This project validates the EEC team’s commitment to accommodate its client’s unique requirements. EEC is consistently striving to meet the client’s requests and at the same time never compromising Safety and Quality
