A unique aspect of one of these task orders was the confidence that the client had in EEC’s ability to directly perform work in the office of the Secretary of State. This project was first identified as a $30,000 contract in February 2000 and as a testament to EEC ’s safety, work performance, quick response and Quality Control and Quality Assurance it has evolved into over 50 task orders. The largest task order to date has been over a million dollars and was performed at the Main State Department on the Penthouse level.
These task orders have included but are not limited to asbestos abatement, re-insulation inside the High Pressure Air Circulating Systems (HPACS), interior demolition of office spaces, installing new partition walls, and painting of sheet metal work in the penthouse mechanical room, as well as numerous painting and carpentry projects throughout the building. EEC ’s work for the State Department also includes on-call emergency response of waste clean up at their Southwest Facility
