Important Message Regarding COVID-19

In light of the recent outbreak of the Human Coronavirus (COVID-19) that has created a pandemic experienced locally, nationally and internationally, Eastern Environmental Contractors feels obligated to notify all parties that we are currently involved with of our intentions moving forward for the foreseeable future. This outbreak has the potential to impact Eastern Environmental Contractor’s ability to staff projects, obtain necessary materials due to manufacturer delay, importation delays, other delays directly resulting from this epidemic.


This week our company has instituted a new policy for all workers as it pertains to this serious virus which addresses being generally aware of symptoms and how to handle exposure or infection. As part of this policy Eastern Environmental Contractors recognizes that disruption in daily construction activities may be experienced due to employees requiring voluntary or mandated quarantine periods should they be exposed to this virus. At this time local, state and federal agencies are proposing that exposed individuals should undergo a 14-day quarantine period and Eastern Environmental Contractors will continue to follow the recommendations of these agencies.


It is our hope as a company that this outbreak does not impact our workers, subcontractors, vendors or the clients that we are working with and for. Unfortunately, however, with the spread of this virus expected to grow we must remain aware of the potential for delays to be experienced. Our company is actively discussing how reduced staffing may impact our ongoing projects and should reduced staffing be experienced we will remain committed to addressing all critical path items as best as possible. As a company we will continue to monitor and track our progress on projects and should this virus result in delays to the construction schedule we will look to submit a more case-by-case time extension request once the full impact of this outbreak can be quantified.
